Would you enjoy a relaxing float down the Susquehanna River? Interested in learning more about aquatic and riparian invasive species? Do we have the opportunity for you!
Join CRISP and the Otsego County Conservation Association (OCCA) on July 26 at 10am for our second annual iSPY Invasive Species Float down the Susquehanna River. Learn how to ID common aquatic and riparian invasive plants and how they threaten the Susquehanna Watershed while enjoying a three-mile float down the River.
Starting at the Crumhorn Fishing Access Site in Maryland, NY, and ending at the Portlandville Fishing Access site, enjoy a calm, three-mile paddle down the Susquehanna River. This stretch of river is friendly to new and experienced paddlers of all ages, with little current and no obstacles. This event is open to everyone, and OCCA can provide canoes for those interested. If bringing personal watercraft, make sure they are Clean, Drained, and Dry!
OCCA will provide snacks and refreshments at the end of the paddle, though we encourage everyone to bring water for the trip.
