Catskill Regional Invasive Species Partnership (CRISP) and New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) both work to manage invasive species in the Catskills. CRISP is working with partners to limit the impact of invasive species on the ecosystems and economies of the greater Catskills region (CRISP Intro). New York City Department of Environmental Protection has an invasive species program to protect the upstate water supply from invasive species threats to water quality and infrastructure (NYC DEP Strategy Outline). CRISP and NYC DEP are working together on a group concept mapping project to guide strategic planning specifically for invasive species management for the next 5 years. Your involvement is very important to the success of the project. We are offering this session to provide an overview of CRISP and NYC DEP invasive species management programs and answer questions that people may have about potential priorities or how we are using the Group Concept Mapping process to develop strategic management goals.
