Please join us to learn how to identify and manage mile-a-minute at a recently discovered infestation in Davenport, NY. Mile-a-minute is a prolific fruit producer and it’s fruits may invade areas downstream along the Charlotte Creek. The infestation is on private property. Please email Dan Snider-Nerp, CRISP Field Project Manager, dsnider-nerp@catskillcenter.org for details on the meeting place and to let us know to expect you. We will be bagging the vines and fruits of this invasive plant. Mile-a-minute vines have sharp prickles, so please bring sturdy gloves and wear long sleeves and long plants. Bring a lunch and water. Some areas of the site are wet, so you may prefer to wear waterproof shoes.
We will be observing social distancing while we pull, and CRISP staff will provide bags for pulled vines, as well as hand sanitizer.
