Emerald Ash Borer (EAB)

The Emerald Ash Borer is a forest pest that feeds solely on ash trees. This pest has been detected in several counties in New York and is causing severe damage, costing us the health of our forest ecosystems. Communities are left to foot the bill of removing hundreds of dying trees. This metallic green beetle can't be stopped, but CRISP is doing everything possible to help slow the spread and help communities to prepare.

Have ash trees on your property?

Ash trees can begin to fall as soon as two seasons after they become infested with Emerald Ash Borer. To decide whether it is in your best interest to begin treating your trees before they become infested, check out the information below.

EAB/Ash Treatment Map- This document provided by Cornell shows insecticide treatment zones in NY and shows areas in which treatment is recommended.

Tree-äge is the only pesticide recommended for use on ash trees in an area that is already infested with EAB.
